THE CHARACTER
Phoebe's upbringing was relatively standard as far as magical upbringings go. Her parents, who are still alive today, were and still are very much in love. Coming from a middle class family Phoebe was brought up to believe that there is nothing more important than helping others - in particular those that need it most or who cannot help themselves.
Attending Hogwarts she was a Hufflepuff if ever a Hufflepuff was one. She was fiercely loyal to all (whether they deserved it or not), patient, kind, hardworking, and humble. She far preferred bringing others up in the spotlight rather than having it focused on herself. She was a member of the Slug Club, as well as Hogwarts' drama club and chorus. Her favorite teachers were Flitwick and McGonagall. There were whispers that she had an on again off again relationship with Professor Longbottom recently but those are patently untrue... probably.
A bit of an eccentric, Phoebe loves the idea of communicating with the other side, fate, tarot really anything. And though she may not be the Divination Professor (that distinction belongs to SALLY BRYNE ) that doesn't mean that she doesn't often utilize these methods herself (or make Sally read her future).
Phoebe is the sort of teacher most of the students feel comfortable coming to for advice (whether or not it is good is debatable). She always means well and is a fierce protector of her students who call her 'mama', 'mama bear', or a slew of other affectionate nicknames. She's not Trelawney level of bonkers... but she's pretty dang close.
