Medical style conferences did come round a few times a year and this occasion was a portion makers three day conference in Germany. Damon admired the organisation of this one and the lengths they’d gone to keeping the muggles in the dark.
For starters it was on an old car ferry off the coast of Hamburg. They’d be away from prying eyes at least until they got back to shore. As usual the wizarding world wasn’t big enough to keep this self contained and there wasn't enough cabins for everyone. So he’d needed to make his own rooming arrangements; Damon’s choice being a Holiday Inn. A choice he could deal with as he could pass as a muggle a lot more easily than others. When you lived on the outskirts off a muggle village all your life and nobody thought it wrong that you didn’t have a car and you could still drink at the local pub a city like this became a lot easier to deal with.
The Reeperbahn was part cultural, red light disctrict and St Pauli had its football stadium here. On a match day he’d heard the place rocked but this time Damon would have to make his own entertainment. Perhaps a trip to the Operettenhaus might be in order on day two.
This evening a coffee and light meal would suffice as even he would look out of place on the pavement tables in winter. So he was inside looking casual smart in boots, blue jeans and black shirt. He wore a warm dark blue padded coat and was carefully cutting up his steak.
It would probably take another witch or wizard to figure out he wasn’t just another dining muggle.
