Good morning Seraphim. Welcome to your latest dry spell! A fate that did happen to professional musicians more often that she’d like to admit. From time to time string quartet bookings dried up but she did have a plan B. She’d been a bar tender before and it couldn’t have changed that much in two years.
She did squirrel away as much savings as she could afford in gringotts because she was used to doing this. Ultimately if the stars aligned correctly she might not even need to do the session music but just how likely was that? "Dream on Sera" she told herself. "The Weird Sisters manager isn’t going to be looking for a new violinist any time soon".
String quartets mainly existed to play nice classical music but she figured they were hardly noticed. A DJ with a deck could do just as good a job and they would be better known. Still it paid the bills and her rent.
“My head hurts” she moaned leaving her little house and her cat Sorcha to wander on the roof. That feline was looking for birds again and the main reason why she couldn't keep a post owl. So far the pain killing potion hadn’t kicked as she started her essential shopping in Hogsmeade Main Street. The previous evening she’d been to the major taverns and asked if there was any part time work going. She wouldn’t expect any owls back for a day or two but she was hopeful all the same. She’d also had some drinks; a few too many as she’d went past her usual limit. She’d gotten back just fine and now she was suffering.
With winter hitting the cold was probably enough to sober anybody up given enough time. She was wearing a long black coat over a purple dress and thigh high boots. There was no snow and ice yet as she adjusted her grey woollen hat. Her breath smoked already as she mulled over the daily list. First stop being the bakers unless she found some interesting company first.
