Harry Potter:"Do you really think there's going to be a war, Sirius?"
Sirius Black: "It… feels like it did before."
TURN ON THE LIGHT is a Post- Potter roleplay that takes place twenty-five years after the Second Wizarding War.
We welcome canon and original characters in this (currently) sandbox style roleplay.
Slipping out of the house had become a bad habit of Ana Greystones. She knew Clavin didn't like her going out alone, especially without telling him where she was going, but she was eighteen. She was a big girl now, and nothing would hold her back, especially with what happened in the past.
Her whole life, she felt that her mother contained her from life. After everything that went down, she thought she had earned her right to her freedom.
Though she was slipping out, she wasn't going anywhere wild. She had just planned to go out for some air where, well, who knew? Walking down the streets of the magical world, she eventually found herself on the steps of an open art gallery. Peeking her head, she saw a small crowd looking at magical paintings and joined in. Was it a private event? Uh, she didn't care all she had to do was blend in.
Days like today made Cody just SLIGHTLY regret taking on higher profile jobs. Now don't get him wrong, he loved the work itself, and he definitely LOVED the paydays. But it was having to go to events like gallery openings, and art shows...he just wasn't a fan. He already knew that his look was less than traditional and he sort of stood out like a sore thumb. That mixed with his ever present anxiety, and it was a cocktail that was no fun.
Today's event wasn't TOO bad, thankfully it was at least a smaller one so he wasn't feeling completely overwhelmed. His pieces were getting quite a bit of positive feedback which was nice, though he was starting to find that his anxiety was beginning to ramp up. He found himself growing a bit more fidgety, and had to excuse himself to get a bit of fresh air.
As he made his way towards the exit, he had such tunnel vision that he barely noticed the girl peeking in the door before almost barreling into her. He caught himself at the last moment, stumbling to avoid the girl. "Oh my gosh I am SO sorry, I wasn't paying attention." he said, a slight crimson blush matching his hair creeping onto his cheeks.
