Press. Press, press, press.
Press was nice clothes and nice hair and nice makeup and sit pretty talk pretty and look neat. Try not to fall flat on her face. That was what the manager said, anyway. It's why she wasn't allowed to talk, unless they caught her.
Some piece or another for the Prophet and now they had all of them doing separate interviews. Sad. Bad. Very not great.
Maybe it would be better if she skipped out on whatever this was and carried on. It wasn't like they'd hunt her down. Her manager might hunt her down, and that wouldn't be a better spent hour than this one - spent getting lectured instead.
So just like a good girl she put on her fancy dress and her high heels, did her hair and makeup. And, as it seemed perhaps a little too much. This bar was, probably, what most people would consider a dump. Definitely not going to get recognized here (probably).
The most flattering thing she could say for was it was that at least the place served booze. She'd probably need it by the end of the night, or part of the way through the night. Anything to get through answering repetitive questions about herself. Same questions, invasive questions, boring questions, any and all questions. There was only so much to say before you ended up falling into their trap.
So, when Briony took her seat at the table across from the journalist she had already furnished herself with a drink and was more than ready to expedite this.
"Well, lets do this."

As a matter of personal preference, Danny wasn’t too keen on formal sit-down interviews. Or, really, conducting interviews at all. But, he’d been given an assignment. He would have rather been traveling, researching a story somewhere warm and tropical. Unfortunately, he had to do the interviews and stories between those trips. A bar in Hogsmeade would have to do. At least they could have a few drinks. He preferred organic conversation when he had to do an interview, and the informal setting of a pub at least sort of made it easier. He sat at the table with his much needed gin and tonic and pulled out his notebook and pen. Danny used the same instruments for years. The same brand notebook and pen every time he purchased new, and never enchanted. Magic might have made the process easier, but he enjoyed the simplicity of writing with his own hand as opposed to a charmed quill. Something about putting the words down himself and feeling the feedback as he scribbled shorthand and quotes. She sat across from him and Danny suddenly felt under-dressed. The worn jeans and button up he’d scraped together that morning felt particularly underwhelming in comparison. He could clean up nicely, he swears! If he was honest, Danny wasn’t entirely familiar with Spellbound. He’d heard some songs, even before last night’s binge of their top hits, but they weren’t necessarily in his regular rotation. “ Alright,” he began, nodding in agreement. The quicker they got through the interview, the quicker he could go wander around Hogsmeade. Or, more likely, go home and get into some sweatpants. Okay, focus Daniel. Icebreakers. Icebreakers. He motioned to the drink she picked up on her way over to him. “ What are you drinking?”

Briony blinked down at her glass staring at it rather blankly and wide eyed for a few moments, probably too long, before she glanced back up at the reporter. Did she know his name? Ah, well. Were names that important? He was probably the guy that she was meant to talk to. Looked like it. Looked like a lot of things. "Ah, well I asked the bartender for something sweet." Because sweet things were good, and it'd better be enjoyable. Raising the glass to her lips she took a sip and nodded, glancing down and twisting the glass in her hand - inspecting it. Good, tasty.
Nice.
"It's good though!" She added cheerfully, flashing a pleased smile. Maybe she could make something of this interview after all, or rather make it drag less. If nothing less the social lubricant was going to help it move along. Just, maybe not in a way her manager was going to appreciate - as had been proven in the past.
"Want to try?" Holding out the glass Briony nodded encouragingly, "I don't have cooties. Probably." She frowned slightly at that but shrugged. Maybe not the most socially acceptable thing but then what was half the time? It was probably fine.
"Ohhh, was that one of your questions?" She stared across at him, eyes wide. "It sounded like one of your questions!"
