THE CHARACTER
A proper young Pureblood was what Finn was meant to be, what he was raised to be and had all intentions of being. He had been meant to take over the family chair in Wizengamot. Well, he still might. Meant to be a proper pureblood lord, the responsible one so to say out of a family of eccentrics. Darwins, well known for their research and contributions to knowledge of all manner of magical flora and fauna. All plans went awry the moment he stepped foot on Hogwarts land. You see, he got his familiar and he was just about sold. Once he was free to excel in potions and care of magical creatures he took off and just didn't start moving.
By graduation there were quite a few offers on the table.
Finneas had his choice of opportunities.
Of course, he took a leap of faith with reluctant but understanding backing from his parents and took a position at the sole Magical Animal Shelter in the UK. He began cleaning kennels and general maintenance around the place and gradually worked his way up once he had more animal handling experience.
With his experience and connections he could probably have been installed as director of the shelter just based off his connections alone, experience a bonus. Finn didn't want that, preferred working with the animals anyway and learning from them.
Maybe one day he'll publish a paper on them.
At this point he has top tier experience in animal handling his semi-recent promotion to Muggle Liaison he's been introduced to the muggle world far more than the muggleborn students and their fancy, fascinating pens at Hogwarts had been. Finneas is absolutely captivated at this point, and looks forward to figuring out more in his role. Though he does tend to speak a bit oddly at times, or at least the muggles give him funny looks. It probably doesn't help that he's fascinated by the simplest things, but he can't help himself! It's all so interesting.

For now he's just the mild mannered Muggle Liaison for the shelter and helps them take in any magical critters that happen to fall into the hands of muggle shelters, no matter how far he has to travel.
