Katerina Renatus was late to curfew, she had been in the library studying about chaos magicks. She had learned veelas had an affinity towards chaos magic, so she was curious to find a correlation. Unfortunately, as she was hiding in the library in one of the alcoves that was dark enough to cast an illusion spell, she wasn’t planning on getting caught by a professor or a ghost. But with her luck, she would seem to get caught by someone sooner or later.
”As chaos magic are heavily considered morally grey magic, it can have both light and dark intentions. Veelas tend to gravitate towards the fire aspect of chaos magic due to their affinity towards the elemental ability of fire.” She read quietly enough outload but peeves caused a noise in the library for the little ravenclaw to get out of her hiding spot to check to find herself face to face with Brayden Richardson.
“Would you believe me if I say I was sleep walking?” She offered a small flirtatious smile as to keep him from finding her selection of books. Some of these books were supposed to be in the restriction section.

As a prefect, it was not unlikely for Brayden to be wandering the school after hours. The prefects were given the few hours after curfew to patrol, and then the professors tended to take over further into the night. Even the prefects needed sleep from time to time. Brayden didn't mind, though; he liked the silence of the castle when most of its inhabitants were locked away in their dormitories. There was a charm to it, though he'd. So when even the slightest of noises cut through that silence, he tended to take notice. He paused near the library doors, his sharp ears picking up a slight ruckus. He pivoted to the right and opened the library door. He saw Peeves not too far away and Brayden rolled his eyes. "Must you always?" he asked rhetorically. But Peeves started to fly off further into the library, beckoning for Brayden to follow. With a heavy sign, the Slytherin followed hesitantly. Maybe the poltergeist was trying to tell him something. Barely a moment later, he was face to face with a certain Ravenclaw he was sure shouldn't be here right now. He arched an eyebrow at her when she asked if he'd believe her when she said she was sleeping walking. "Not likely, I'm sorry to say, but I would love to hear your story of how and why you are in here. And no lies either," he said.
